Thinking Peace

This anti-war video is most pleasing, especially since it was made in the Bay Area and I recognize some of the people in it. It would be great to see this as an advertisement on television. Please distribute the link by sending it to everyone, especially non-Iranians. To learn more about the video, go here.

Sorry, but all it did for me was to confirm the popular culture/acceptance of the concept of “Sound Bites — with little/or no substance”.

What was missing was the entire concept of “The Purpose of the Message”.

Some of us Iranians get so wrapped-up in our strong belief system and eccentricm/exuberance that we don’t realize we come through to non-Iranians as a mere bunch of egocentrics. angry-but-looking-mellow, like Jeramya Wright, or Shaboon Bimokh.

I’d say, let’s define the “purpose” of this clip. If you think it can possibly appeal to any non-Iranian, you are probably full of yourself. Oh, Pleeease skip “Sound-Bytes”. That’s Bull.

I kind of agree. Its a little obnoxious

    Israeli democracy at its best:
“And the American academic Norman Finkelstein has been arrested and ordered deported from Israel. Finkelstein arrived in Tel Aviv earlier today on his way to the Occupied Territories. He was immediately detained and told he is banned from Israel for ten years. He’s expected to be deported tomorrow. Finkelstein is known one of the most prominent academic critics of Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.”

    What a wonderful state.

Just wanted to let you guys in on a funny bit of news. Israel is having a big bash here in DC that will take place on the National Mall. Take a guess as to one of the featured guests. If you guessed Oscar the Grouch, you’d be right!

  5. jamshid says:

I cant wait for norman finkelstein to get back and write about his experience being arrested by the Israelis.

The video isn’t perfect, true, but what is? I think the video serves a good anti-war purpose.

  7. :) says:

Pouya, this is the English of a fat and ugly occupation soldier, dumped by Azadeh:
“In our today’s hectic society, people to entertainment to escape reality”

Maybe she dumped him not for his big nose, his nappy hair, his fat stomach, or for his lies and fabrications, but for his grammar.
