There is a fascinating converation going on at Arash’s blog. Arash recently made the claim that Egypt invaded or “tried to invade” Israel during the Yom Kippur war. I asked Arash for evidence. First, he cited what his proffessor said in class, but quickly realizing that this is not what a real source is he pointed me to…wikipedia. Of course, wikipedia is not serious scholarship, nevertheless, the wikipedia article on the Yom Kippur war of 1973 said absolutely nothing of Egypt invading to trying to invade Israel. It is quite extraordinary to see Arash make things up, get called out on it, and embarass himself OVER and OVER and OVER again.
