Fareed Zakaria on the possibility of regime change in Iran

This is one of the few times you’ll see me agree with Fareed Zakaria. Here he speaks about the possibility of regime change in Iran and sharply and convincingly criticizes McCain’s wishful thinking.

Pouya agha – if you don’t mind me asking – what is your PhD research about? What is your main focus of interest?

    Best,

Hi Hamid jaan, I don’t mind at all though since I’ve only finished my first year as a PhD student, it’s still a little early to tell what exactly my dissertation will entail. My focus languages are Persian and Arabic for now. One way or another, modern Iran will figure centrally to my research. I just haven’t decided how. Before I came to Michigan, i was leaning towards revolutionary Shi’ism but recent events in Iran has changed things a little.

    Respectfully,

    iPouya
