Is the recent tagline I read in a NY Times Israeli advertisement. Tourism is a huge industry in Israel and the purpose of the ad was to encourage people to visit Israel. But there’s something inherently offensive about the tag line: “No one belongs here more than you.” As we all know, if you are a native Palestinian exiled from your homeland “No one belongs here more than you” does NOT apply. Indeed, everyone else can come visit and if you’re Jewish, you are eligible for citizenship. But if you’re a native, then nothing, “get out and stay out” is the policy.

Ugh. JZ, how boring. People always say that Arab Muslims invaded and made everyone convert or die. Therefore, if you became a Muslim/Arab, you may have likely been something else beforehand, and therefore an original inhabitant. Unless people are now claiming (like JZ, who also lack the rational thought process wed like to see) that Arab Muslims invaded regions, killed EVERYONE, and literally repopulated the entire Middle East by themselves.
To iPoopYa: Look up the history of the ancient Levant, or Mashreq as Arabs call it — not the biblical but the historical account in any legitimate encyclopedia or academic source. You will see that Jews were there CENTURIES before Islam and Arab tribes were around. You are embarrassing YOURSELF if you think Jews were not the original inhabitants of the land.

First of all, Levant and Mashreq are not synonymous. As someone who studies Arabic I can tell you that Mashreq means region of the East, east as in east of the Mediterranean which also includes Jordan, Palestine, Iraq, Kuwait, and then some.
Also, you are right to say that Jews were there centuries before Islam, but your Judeo-centric mind fails to see that non-Jewish peoples were there “CENTURIES” before Judaism you tool.
