“Persepolis” is nominated for Best Animated Film. “No Country for Old Men” and “There Will Be Blood,” both of which I’ve seen recently and liked very much, were nominated for 8 awards each. I still have to see “Juno” and “Michael Clayton” before the Oscars. Here’s a complete list of the nominees… and I’m still shocked about Heath Ledger’s death. Here’s the trailer to his last film, “Dark Knight.” Seems like he stole the show.
How was there will be blood? People are saying its one of the best movies of all time. Then again, they said that about that stupid orson wells movie about his sleigh.
No Country for Old Men…have to pass. Where I live, that thing is used for cattle. Speaking of which, the rodeo is back in town! (: I don’t like movies with senseless violence. I have to say, nice acting but TERRIBLE story, if there even was a point to it.
I wonder what you specifically liked about it?
Juno–feel good movie of the year. Persepolis–loved the book you gave me, but didn’t see the movie.
Heath Ledger’s death is terrible. I haven’t heard anything about what, if anything, the Dark Knight team plans to do related to the movie after his death. I’m sure they are also shocked and hesitate because it’ll seem opportunistic.
As for Juno, I heard Rupert Murdoch discussing the movie and how proud he is that the values of the movie are resonating with the public thanks to Fox’s commitment to real issues.
Also, tomorrow the Rambo movie comes out. It’s Sylvester Stallone’s shot at human rights activism and I think he’s turned out to be a good man in his old age. At one press conference, he compares the human conflict in Rambo to Shakespeare!
Hey Arash!!
I first thought that it couldn’t be Arash because there were no outrageous spelling and grammatical errors, but then I checked the IP address and it turned out to be him. He must have copy-pasted it, hahaha.
Arash, let me remind you that you are banned from posting here until you apologize for your naughty behavior and excessive use of trash language.
ahhahahahahah. Now that is funny. Arash has a new post, and its hilarious. He claims Human Rights Watch ignored Congo, but here is how much HRW has written on the topic: http://search.hrw.org/search?btnG=Google%2BSearch&output=xml_no_dtd&sort=date_3AD_3AL_3Ad1&client=hrw_frontend&num=10&proxystylesheet=hrw_frontend&oe=UTF-8&site=default_collection&ie=UTF-8&q=congo&GO.x=0&GO.y=0
Then he claims that HRW has put out reports, but it hasnt done anything about it! I didnt realize HRW had an army, lol!!
This guy is hilarious
