“Persepolis” Trailer (English Version)

I’m really excited about this film. See the trailer to see why. I’m also really excited about the fact that I get to see it 2 weeks before it comes out in theatres as I’m organizing a sneak preview at Harvard.

I have read her book and am looking forward to see the film. I assume IRI will censor the film, but it will get to Iran, even if not through Mehrabad Airport — and it will be copied and distributed.

Unfortunately, I fear it will be like “singing to the Choir” — which means that only a very few Iranians will seek out to get a copy and watch it. The rest will either have no means to see it, or even if they could, they would shun seeing it -dismissing it as a mere “Western Propaganda against IRI”.

I wish I had the means and the talent to make a similar film based on Richard Dawkins book “The God Delusion”, and distribute it, not only in Iran and throughout the Muslim world, but also in South America, Africa, and Yes, the Bible Belt in the US, the Vatican, and the Wailing Wall in Israel.

  2. Nazanin says:

Harvard gets all the good stuff. I have to wait until the real date to see it….. and my university has 500,000 Iranians at least. Check out my new birding blog! Birdwatching on the EaStSide. You can come too Arash! Zionists are welcom

  3. Katie says:

Let me know when the sneak preview at Harvard’s going to happen – I’d love to see this film.

  4. :) says:

Arash, there is a maximal weight:height ratio for going on Nazanin’s blog. You exceed it. So thin zionists are welcome on her blog, not beached whales.

  5. Anonymous says:

Hey :), you are trying too hard.

  6. Curious Joe says:

    Hey 🙂
    Are you hearing me?

This is Pouya’s Blog, not your private beef with Arash.

Pouya is talking about Perspolis Film. What the hell are you doing in this post wanting to fuck with Arash? Are you crazy, or are you dying to find out which one of you will sock whose cock, or stick his cock in which one’s ass?

You said before that you can say anything you want, anywhere you want, including Pouya’s Blog. Well, dear, you should really spend your time in Cherry Point in Fire Island NY, or at Mykonos in the Greek Islands. What the f*ck are you doing here flirting with Arash on-line on Pouya’s blog? Are you coming yet? Are you going out of this blog? Do you know whether you are coming or going?

Since you seem to have no boyfriends, considering how you use Pouya’s blog to flirt with a guy like Arash, have you considered going into the streets and looking for some male prostitutes to get over your sexually-restricted upbringing in a muslim/jewish environment?

I am fed up with you guys taking over any post/subject, going after your own sexual infatuation, no matter what Pouya’s post is. I realize you think this is a free country (internet?), but please recognize that you are not welcome to fuck each other in front of other people who are gathering here to talk about other issues than Zionism/Israel/Palestine.

Surely you are not USC students (USC = University of Spoilt Children)

  7. Jewish-Zionist says:

    Of course!

Smiley face’s dream is to have Nasrallah, Ahmadinejad, Assad, and Meshaal form a pow-wow around him and come all over his smiling face! Lol!!! ahahahahahahahah!!

  8. Beyonce says:

This is too crazy. If Pouya objects about Dr.Smiley’s posts, then maybe he should say so. Otherwise, it’s the only fair platform we have to discuss Psycho Arash’s blog – he erases and deletes any “threatening” comments.

The best analogy for Arash is Dwight from The Office.

  9. :) says:

Curious Joe: you mean University of Spoiled Children. And JZ, you still need to divide the UAE’s official exchange rate GDP by its citizen population, and do the same for Israel. Then we get to see who has the higher GDP/capita. WAITING!!

  10. :) says:

Pearls from Arash the fatty who wont be able to get a job after graduating from the law school hes at. I will put in parantheses what he meant to say, since he is too dumb to say it for himself.

“Arab-Israeli conflict and the faith (CAUSE) of (THE) Palestinians has always been on top of (THE) Muslims’ agendas (AGENDA). Any group who try (TRIES) to win support for any type of activity always insert (INSERTS) in (THE) Palestinian cause on the bottom of their doctrines (????? BOTTOM OF THEIR DOCTRINE?? DID HE MEAN TOP OF THE AGENDA. WHO KNOWS) and Muslims and Arabs like bunch of sheep follow them (FOLLOW THEM LIKE A BUNCH OF SHEEP).”

To be fair, he was smart this time. He said nothing of factual substance, just talking points. You can’t argue with someone who call Arabs sheep!!

  11. iPouya says:

Arash-the-Occupation-Soldier, may I remind that you are banned from this blog until you apologize for your EXCESSIVE and IMMATURE use of bad language directed at disagreeing commenters.

By the way, I noticed you stopped spamming my blog ever since I told you about how wordpress allows for mass edits, meaning, that you spend more time spamming that it takes me to clean it up (it literally takes me 2 clicks). hahahaha.

  12. :) says:

Translating Arash’s writing. Yes folk, he thinks he’s going to be a good lawyer.

“Prior to (A) military show down with Iran, Israel and (THE) U.S are trying to prevent any major problem(S) in the region. Before Israel and (THE) U.S could (CAN) go after another crazy Muslim nation in the region, they have to make sure not to agitate Muslim societies. Agitating those societies is (WOULD) basically creating (CREATE) sympathy for Iran. Iran has and will definitely (DEFINITELY WILL) use the Palestinian cause as an excuse to buy support and create unrest in many Arab countries(,) that (WHICH) might result in extremist revolutions. Currently (,) Iran is pretty much isolated. Their only ally in the region is Syria and the only country that support (S) them is (THE) Crazy Chavez government of Venezuela. However, this sort of isolation is only political. Who knows what would happen when U.S strikes another Muslim countries.(?) Iran will definitely use (THE) Arab Israeli conflict as a way of acquiring sympathy from other Muslims around the world(,) and they would cry that they are being attacked only because of their support for Palestinians and their “freedom fighters.” In order to discredit such (AN) argument, (THE) U.S and Israel are jump starting another wave of peace process (TALK/DISCUSSIONS ETC.) in order to argue that Iran’s argument regarding fighting for Palestinian rights is simply bogus. Saddam also used the same argument and it did not work. However, many Arabs around the world believe that U.S attack(ED) Iraq only because Israel (HAD) told them to do so. ”

So, Arash is getting better it seems. I mean, if he was a 4th or 5th grader, I would say his grammar is moving along. But, he is not a 5th grader. He is a low tier law student. His back is against the wall as it is. How the hell is he going to communicate with clients or future employers if he submits writing samples like the one above? And, lets be honest, his appearance wont get him anywhere anytime soon, lol!!!

  13. :) says:

I missed a few more errors, sorry about that. But, its amazing to see how he cannot construct a SINGLE structurally sound sentence.

  14. Curious Joe says:

I see that you tried to correct my English, when I used the word “spoilt”, rather than “spoiled”. Please refer to any Dictionary, and you will find that the correct past participle of the verb spoil is in fact “spoilt”.

However, when I mentioned that you and Arash should take your hidden desire to sock each others’ cock or f**k each other in the ass, you did not correct my use of “sock” rather than “suck”.

    Hmmmm, I wonder why ?!!

  15. Curious Joe says:

Given the fact that the participants in Pouya’s Blog do not stick to the Original Post, and tend to go to other tangents – more related to their own personal favorite subjects / sexual fantasies, rather than Pouya’s post — I am going to use this opportunity to “take a tangent” and present an MIT joke for the Harvard crowd to enjoy.

As you know, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge is not too far from Harvard. Harvard is more oriented towards Medical field, Law, Politics, Business, Philosophy/Religion (God?) studies, and other esoteric subjects such as the ones Pouya is taking. MIT, on the other hand, concentrates more on hard Science, Engineering and Technology fields.

So here are 4 MIT students talking about “God” !!!

The first one is studying Electrical Engineering. She says God must have been an Electrical Engineer. Everyone says “how come?”. She starts getting into the details of electrical interactions among the neurons in the human brain, the giant electrical thunderstorms that can cause unbelievable fires — and so on and so forth.

The second one is studying Chemical Engineering. He says God must have been a Chemical Engineer. Everyone says “how come?. He starts getting into the details of chemical interactions by neurotransmitters in the brain, the importance of Carbon and Oxygen, the make up of water (H2O), and a host of other chemical fundamentals.

The third one is studying Mechanical Engineering. She says God must have been a Mechanical Engineer. Everyone says “how come?”. She starts getting into the details of the beauty/movements of an athlete, how the electrical/chemical interaction of the brain cannot be sustained without the mechanical movement of the body. And she goes on to the magic of perfect mechanical movements and coordination of planets and galaxies.

Finally, there is the Civil Engineer. And he says God must have been a Civil Engineer !! Everyone starts laughing and says “What?? Can you explain how could that be possible?” Looking confidently at his own private part and the ladies’ private parts, he says: “It takes a Civil Engineer to put a waste disposal at the middle of an entertainment center”.

So much for the Intelligent Design !!

  16. :) says:

Curious Joe, thanks for the correction. (Both ones)

  17. hoda says:

wow so many comments and only ONE about the movie. anyway, i saw the movie last night through the special screening that isaa organized in berkeley with pouya’s help. the movie is simply amazing, makes you both laugh and cry. i had gotten tickets for my american co-worker and his girlfriend, and they loved it and were moved as well. they actually remarked that it was too bad the movie is not out on dvd yet because it would have made a great holiday gift for their family and friends.

  18. another one says:

    curious joe,
truth is you hit the marker with all your comments especially the first one! smiley guy needs help, his obession is out of control. granted, i think this arash kid is a joke, and going to his blog for the fifteen seconds i did were the worst in my entire life…i still have flashbacks.
