There is an unflattering stereotype attributed to Jewish people relating to money matters. It basically labels them as cheap.
Omid Djalili explains this best with his joke “Be Careful, I’m Jewish”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXjQncuKA14
Jewish kid: Dad can I have 50 cents?
Dad: 30 cents? What do you want 20 cents for? I haven’t got 10 cents. Here’s 5 cents. Share it with your sister.
Ben Stein is an old school unabashed Republican; he was an advisor to Nixon. I agree that to make fun of his contribution based on his faith is ignorant.
I wasn’t make fun of his donation based on his faith. The joke was based on a stereotype. If we can’t make fun of stereotypes, how will we ever shatter them? Get a grip.
Hey Beyonce, why don’t you make a “stereotypical” joke about how muslims are terrorists? If you would like to
“shatter” them, why don’t you begin with that? See, it is a pretty stupid and ignorant thing to say no matter what religion you are talking about.
I visit this blog in an attempt to engage in intellectual discourse. (: Pouya should leave more comments so that this becomes a reality. Beyonce, your offensive comment not only perpetuates hateful sterotypes, it also shows your ignorance about campaign financing law. The Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 sets spending limits with regard to individual donations for funding. The limit is 2300 for each election. Some people have 4600 showing, which is probably because primaries are treated separately. In other news, guess who sponsored the Act? JOHN MCCAIN (Az)!

“The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance; it is the illusion of knowledge.”
Way to break those stereotypes – Ben Stein $750.00 (Guiliani) HA!
Beyonce, could you please elaborate this “stereotype” that you are mentioning here?
